Gift with his health in mind.

Father’s Day is this Sunday and if it snuck up on you, I’m here to help. The men in our lives so often serve as a strong, calming presence. They offer us their love, their loyalty, and their protection—and always put our care before their own. So, with that in mind I have a fantastic gift idea. Let’s make dad a “care package” that includes the things that he doesn’t always do for himself, but should.

Here’s the breakdown.

Male Multiple
An iron-free daily multiple is absolutely essential for males of all ages, but especially for those over 40.
Excessive amounts of iron—which can be measured by a ferritin blood test—have been linked to cardiovascular disease, arthritis, accelerated aging and iron overload.

For years, an iron-free male multi was nearly impossible to find on the market which lead to my formulation of UNI KEY’s Male Multiple.

The Male Multiple is not only iron-free, but contains the highest amounts of B vitamins including 100 mg of B6, 1000 mcg of B12 and 800 mcg of folic acid so helpful in keeping homocysteine levels low—another cardio risk factor that can come into play.

In addition, this comprehensive multi is uniquely designed to meet a man’s special needs and includes saw palmetto and lycopene for extra prostate protection, plant enzymes to support healthy digestion and a resveratrol blend for anti-aging.

Plus—savings alert—UNI KEY is offering 25% off through Monday, 6/19/17 in honor of this special holiday.

Prostate Formula
Up to 50% of men over 60 have an enlarged prostate. It may not be a glamorous topic, but it is an important one that affects many men. As they age, prostate enlargement is a common condition causing uncomfortable urinary problems which can lead to UTIs, bladder stones and kidney damage.

Signs that he may be experiencing issues include the sudden urge to urinate and/or frequent nightly urination, a weak urine stream, dribbling, and incontinence.

UNI KEY’s Prostate Formula is a synergistic and pH balanced formula featuring the highest-grade raw bovine prostate and thymus glandular from New Zealand to support a healthy prostate gland. Importantly, it contains no antibiotics, growth hormones, environmental pollutants, major agricultural disease, bovine spongiform, or encephalopathy.

Do note another savings alert! Through Monday, 6/19/17 UNI KEY is also offering 25% off this perfect product for Dad.

Crystal Deodorant
We want Dad to stay healthy and vital forever, so we certainly don’t want him rubbing harmful chemicals onto his skin on a daily basis. Once he tries this natural deodorant, he will be a lifelong user! Available for both men and women, this natural mineral salt deodorant can last for over a year and is easy to use—just like the stick that he’s used to. Most importantly, it contains no chemicals, aluminum chlorohydrate, aluminum zirconium, parabens, or phthalates. And yes—it does work! He can err on the side of caution against Alzheimer’s disease (sometimes linked to aluminum in deodorants) and still smell great.

Maple Holistics Assuage Beard Oil
Help him with the finishing touches with this natural beard oil composed of jojoba, grapeseed, sweet almond, coconut, Abyssinian, sunflower, avocado, vitamin E, rosemary, lemon, and lavender oils. As always, it’s just as important what this beard oil doesn’t contain—including parabens, preservatives, sulfates, and coloring. It also boasts assistance with beard growth and is great for dad’s skin.

Brickwell Men’s Flexible Hold Wax Pomade
This lightweight pomade is ideal for a dad who has medium to short hair of any hair type. The key ingredients are 100% natural and 81% organic—including beeswax, vitamin E, shea butter. It’s free of sulfates, parabens, glycols, phthalates, petrochemicals, silicones, PEG’s, synthetic fragrances, and gluten. Like his beard oil, this also promotes hair growth and will give his mane a nice natural shine.

The Gift of Time
Most meaningful of all, spend quality time with him this Sunday. Go on a nice walk. Prepare him a heart-healthy meal. Go on an adventure that you’ve been talking about, but never seem to get around to doing. Whatever you do to celebrate the fantastic men in your life, may you have a memorable day—and many more to come.

Ann is there anything I can take for my nails. Brittle, cracking etc. I’m 65 years old female wore acrylic nails for years. Took them off a year ago. Beauty supply says put oil on cuticles. Am I missing a vitamin? Thank you Ann

Hi Kay: Thanks for your post. I would double up on GLA intake or consider GLA-90s — at 4 twice per day — and use some olive oil or jojoba oil topically as well. Biotin 5 mg can also help as can Mag Key at 5 mg per pound of body weight which aids calcium absorption.
