Delicious bites that will impress your guests.

Snacking. Whether you’re satisfying a mid-day hunger pang or you’re setting out a spread of nibbles for company, sometimes choosing foods that will satisfy AND nourish can be a perplexing task. Fortunately, there’s a plethora of options that puts that tray of processed meats and cheeses to shame.

I’m expecting quite a few guests over the coming summer months, so I have my pantry fully stocked with easy options I can put out in a pinch. Here are some of my recent favorites directly from my kitchen to yours.

Kettle & Fire Grass-Fed Bone Broth
Bone broth is all the rage right now, and for good reason. This mineral-rich broth is rich in glycine, glutamine, collagen, and proline to support your immune system, heal your gut, strengthen your bones, and boost your energy—to name a few of the benefits! I trust Kettle & Fire because their formula is made using only 100% grass-fed bones and organic vegetables and herbs, and is free of any hormones, antibiotics and artificial ingredients. There’s no bones about it, serving this healthy, delicious broth will be quite the conversation starter and you might have quite a few bone broth fanatics by the end of your get-together. Buy>>

Platte Clove Naturals Granola
This organic granola is hand-made one batch at a time and features the new darling of sweeteners, especially for diabetics—maple syrup (there’s about 5 grams of sugar per serving along with trace minerals potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc). The result is a delicious product that isn’t too sweet and comes in delightfully bold and unique combinations. My favorites are Maple Ginger and Curry Nut Crunch. Buy>>

Primal Island Granola
Here’s another organic, gluten-free, grain-free, and low carb (11-16 grams per serving) granola brand that packs a delicious crunch. Based out of my neck of the woods in the Northwest, it offers more “traditional” flavors that appeal to the pickiest of eaters. I love all three flavors, which are Toasted Coconut, Blueberry, and Cranberry. Buy>>

Wild Planet Fish
You’re going to fall in love with this line of canned fish. It’s so difficult to find seafood you can trust these days, and Wild Planet allows you to pack easy protein into your day with ease and confidence. The line is all wild-caught using pole and troll fishing methods, which have been rated the tip top method for sustainability by eco-organizations such as The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch ® Program, Greenpeace and Fishwise. It’s perfect to spread inside a smaller piece of organic lettuce for a nice tuna cup or to form into balls using a small cookie scoop and serve in dainty serving spoons (think the size you’d pair with a teacup). My pick is Wild Skipjack Light Tuna. Buy>>

Epic Bars
Whether you’re looking for something to grab on-the-go or you want to break them up into chunks and serve on a platter, these meat, fruit and nut bars are perfect. This brand puts extensive care into where their ingredients come from, sourcing their meat only from farmers who provide certification that all of their animals are pasture-raised, exclusively grass-fed, free of antibiotics, and treated 100% humanely. You’ll find their flavor options to seem endless and be quite filling and satisfying. My favorites (so far) are Beef Peach Rosemary, Beef Habanero Cherry, Turkey Almond Cranberry, and Lamb Currant Mint. Buy>>

Good Health Kettle Chips
When you want to “cheat” and have a chip, go with these. These chips are simply made (you can count the ingredients on one hand) from potatoes, antioxidant-rich healthy fats—and absolutely nothing artificial like you’d find in that familiar greasy bag of chips. My favorite flavors are the potato Olive Oil with Sea Salt and the potato Avocado Oil with Sea Salt. Buy>>

Good Health Half Naked Organic Sea Salt Popcorn
I just love popcorn and this is a great brand to try! The hint of sea salt adds some fun flavor and the lack of butter and artificial flavorings makes them filling, delicious, and guilt-free. Popcorn is a great treat to keep in your desk at the office, serve in individual cups for guests or—of course—much on during your next movie night in. Buy>>

Take the guilt out of snacking and the stress out of hosting your next event by serving these delicious treats. Bon appétit from my snacking self to you!
