It’s entirely possible and surprisingly simple!
You’ve no doubt heard of red light and blue light therapies, but did you know that green light therapy has its own set of powerful benefits?
Green light is so calming that it reduces PTSD symptoms more effectively than any other color! It does this by boosting the body’s natural production of melatonin, allowing your sympathetic nervous system to kick in gear — promoting relaxation and emotional balance.
But that’s just the beginning of green light therapy’s benefits. It can also:
- Reduce pain and inflammation — making it a terrific go-to for migraines, arthritis, and relief from painful muscle injuries.
- Improve skin tone by reducing hyperpigmentation, age spots, stretch marks, and even dark circles under the eyes.
- Help shrink fat cells! Fat cells can swell up to 1000x their size — using green light helps to shrink them. Green light even helps to reduce unsightly cellulite and saggy skin.
- Boost mood and mental health, increasing melatonin levels to combat seasonal affective disorder (SAD); relieves stress and anxiety naturally, and as previously mentioned, is a powerful remedy for PTSD.
- Activate the pineal gland and enhance stem cell proliferation — making it a promising tool for turning back the clock on aging.
TIP: Blue light suppresses melatonin (a/k/a the sleep hormone), but green light increases it. Here’s something I’ve learned: placing green light on the back of your knees just before bedtime can stimulate melatonin production, helping you fall asleep faster!
For a super simple way to ease stress, improve sleep, and enhance your well-being in general, green light therapy might just be the biohack you’ve been waiting for!
Where can you find light therapy devices? The one I personally rely on is made by InLight Therapy. Contact April Blake at [email protected] for more information! She will be glad to answer your questions and help you determine which system is right for you.
