You’ll never guess the ingredient in this summer sip.
We all love a refreshing summer drink, but far too many are loaded with a high sugar content and even with artificial sweeteners. Worse, smoothies that may appear to be healthy are just dressed up desserts. The options for Fat Flush approved smoothies are endless—and I have a new secret ingredient to add.
It’s bone broth! This health-boosting broth is full of critical macro and trace minerals; aminos like glycine, glutamine and immune supporting proline; and collagen to heal your gut, strengthen your bones, and skyrocket your energy—to name just a few of the benefits!
A Lengthy List of Pros
If you want the digestive and immune boosting benefits of bone broth, you HAVE to be drinking bone broth made from a healthy animal (i.e. grass-fed, pasture-raised or wild caught). Only then will you be able to enjoy the many benefits of bone broth, including:
Joint Health
• Bone broth contains tons of collagen, the protein that makes up bones, tendons, ligaments and other flexible tissues
• Bone broth contains other proteins like gelatin, proline and glycine
• Contains lots of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including glucosamine, that are commonly taken as supplements to reduce joint pain and inflammation
Digestion
• The glycine and glutamine—both amino acids found in large quantities in bone broth—this maintains the integrity of the intestinal wall, and helps heal leaky gut
Healthy Bones
• Contains minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium that promote strong bones
Bone Broth Smoothies
I bet you’re wondering how in the world this can go with a smoothie. Well, you’re in for a treat. The answer is: bone broth ice cubes! Popping a few in a smoothie gives you a satisfying (and cool) summer drink that provides a powerhouse of nourishment. And, in case you’re wondering, yes—they do taste delicious!
Here are two recipes I love:
Island Berry Bone Broth Smoothie
Ingredients
• 3-4 Kettle & Fire Chicken Bone Broth ice cubes
• 1 scoop protein powder
• 1 tablespoon coconut oil
• 1 cup organic mixed berries, rinsed
• 1 tablespoon chia seeds
• 8 ounces cran-water
Directions
1. Combine bone both ice cubes, protein, berries, and cran-water and blend until smooth.
2. Add coconut oil and chia seeds.
3. Blend until desired consistency.
Go Green Bone Broth Smoothie
Ingredients
• 3-4 Kettle & Fire Beef Bone Broth ice cubes
• 1 scoop protein powder
• 1 tablespoon flax oil
• 1 organic pear
• 1 cup organic romaine
• 1 tablespoon flax seeds
• 8 ounces cran-water
Directions
1. Combine bone both ice cubes, protein, pear, romaine, and cran-water and blend until smooth.
2. Add flax oil and flax seeds.
3. Blend until desired consistency.
Sips and Savings
I know that summer tends to be especially busy. If you don’t have time to make your own broth, I recommend opting for Kettle & Fire. I trust this brand because their formula is made using only 100% organic bones, vegetables and herbs, is free of any hormones, antibiotics and artificial ingredients, and is USDA approved.
Especially for my fans, they’re offering a chance to stock up and save big! With a purchase of 6 cartons, you’ll receive 2 free or with a purchase of 12 cartons, you’ll receive 4 free—plus free shipping with either option. These broths are just as delicious in a fall soup if you’re hesitant to purchase in bulk. Year-round, I always have several cartons in my pantry.
Do take advantage of the savings here. I’ll be enjoying bone broth smoothies along with you this summer!

Since I’m a vegan, I’m wondering if you would substitute something for the bone broth.
Midge: Thanks for your post. I would use plain ice cubes or frozen vegetable broth.

I find her cranwater helps sugar cravings. Add 2 oz (1/4th cup) of pure cranberry ( no other fruits added) in 16 oz of water. Sip 4 of these throughout the day. Also unikey health has YC cleanse to rid your body of yeast which helps. My husband had diabetes and reversed it with high fiber smoothies and changing his eating. Get the new fat flush book cookbook journal and food guide on Amazon and join the fat flush group for support. You will be doing great in no time.
Thanks Debi for helping out Dana. Cran water does help sugar cravings and levels out blood sugar. Y-C Cleanse helps cleanse yeast and fungus that can create those cravings in the first place. The NEW Fat Flush Plan, Cookbook, and Journal/Shopping Guide will help keep slimming and health a way of life.
Does it have to be chicken? I was hoping to get some of both, but the offer only says Chicken.
Christi, I looked around on the site and found a link where you can mix them. They also have chat people available. I love both the chicken and beef! https://help.kettleandfire.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002517048-Chicken-Beef-in-the-same-subscription-is-that-possible-
Can I have the cran water if I’m detoxing from copper toxicity? Thank you!
Yes, you can – Debbie H 🙂
I am starting the 3 day protocol Saturday and I am curious what others think of the taste? It has so many different things in one shake I am afraid I won’t be able to drink it? It also has on page 78 of the new book to see the Fat Flush Smoothie recipe not the next page but it only has the Skinny Smoothie recipe and the Fat Flush Metabolizer cocktail. Are they the same thing?
Hi Jennifer: There is a misprint on page 78.The recipe for the Fat Flush Smoothie is on page 188. The two smoothies are a little different. I hope you enjoy the smoothies! We think they are delicious. You have so many options for yummy fruit combinations.
