High-Tech detoxification and cleansing therapies are hotter than ever right now.

Spring has sprung and it’s time to shed the winter sluggishness and get the toxins moving out. To achieve and maintain weight loss and optimal health year-round, it’s essential to integrate advanced detoxification techniques with your healthy diet and exercise routine. Spring cleansing is not a new idea; it’s been practiced in cultures around the world for centuries. Sauna has been around for over 2000 years in Finnish culture as a cornerstone of healing and detox.

Do You Sweat?

Sweating is one of the safest advanced detoxification practices for staying healthy and there are several types of saunas available to help get the job done. Far Infrared and photomodulation with Near Infrared are two types of sauna essential for transforming your wellness. Far infrared is the longest IR wavelength and can penetrate the body at a cellular level, where toxins are stored. Sweat carries toxins out of the body and pushes them through the pores. Sweating in some ways can be compared to fever—Mother Nature’s emergency healing process.

Heating up the body in an infrared sauna kills microbes and latent viruses, and raises pH to a more alkaline level, which makes the body inhospitable for pathogens to survive. It also causes fatty tissues to vibrate much faster, then dump toxins like aluminum and mercury into the body’s interstitial fluid, which is turn are released by the skin’s pores. Finally, it releases toxic substances like formaldehyde, nicotine, alcohol and drugs.

Near Infrared is the shortest infrared wavelength that penetrates the skin’s surface. LEDs are effective because they can trigger a natural photo-biochemical reaction (similar to how plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into plant tissue). Scientific research shows that when delivered at the vital wavelength of 880nm without extreme heat or light, NIR promotes skin renewal, cell health, wound healing, and tissue growth.

If you are doing regular sauna and not sweating, it’s time to give your adrenals a helping hand. First, do the Adrenal Stress Panel offered by UNI KEY Health to assess how well your adrenal glands are functioning. Second, take a nourishing adrenal supplement like UNI KEY Health’s Adrenal Formula, to help recharge those tired adrenals and get them back online again.

Backed by Doctors, and Yours Truly

Today, I am in good company with many integrative medical doctors and naturopaths promoting the use of 3-in-1 infrared saunas (emits near, mid and far infrared waves) as the most effective way to stimulate gentle but deep cleansing while bathing the body with healing frequencies that enhance overall health and healing.

Infrared is much more thorough than other steam or heat sauna therapies. Infrared energy waves—which are part of the invisible spectrum of light emitted from the sun—can easily penetrate tissue to about three inches deep. By penetrating more deeply, the cleansing impact is dramatically enhanced. Just one session in a far infrared sauna can increase the metabolic rate to such a degree that you can burn up to 700 calories.

But, don’t overdo it! Start with a ten minute sauna at 100 degrees Fahrenheit three times per week. Gradually work your way up to a 45-minute sauna, and then after a month or so increase the temperature to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

Not All Infrared Saunas are Created Equal

Solocarbon FIR heaters are proven to deliver the highest quantity and quality of far infrared. The design of a Solocarbon heater allows for most of the far infrared wavelength to be near 9.4 microns, which is the level at which the human body absorbs infrared energy. This is also the frequency at which a water molecule resonates or vibrates. This vibration causes a release of cellular toxins.

Emissivity is the ability of an object to emit or absorb energy. A perfect black body has an emissivity of 1, emitting 100% of infrared energy. An object with an emissivity of 0.6 will absorb 60% and reflect 40% of the energy. For infrared therapy to be successful for detoxification, sauna heaters must have a high emissivity level to deliver a high concentration of infrared waves. As your body absorbs high levels of infrared, it begins to heal at the cellular level.

I recommend Sunlighten, who makes the only true full spectrum infrared sauna. Full spectrum infrared consists of near, mid and far wavelengths—all of which provide different health benefits. Solocarbon 3-in-1 heaters combine three distinct components within a single heating panel to provide near, mid, and far infrared at their peak wavelengths, proven 99% emissive.

Because Sunlighten 3-in-1 heating elements operate independently, you can program them to generate any combination of NIR, MIR, and FIR heat. You can optimize the IR power, output, and intensity based on your specific needs during each sauna session. Or you can choose one of the preset wellness programs for detoxification, anti-aging, weight loss, relaxation, cardiovascular health and pain relief.

Make 2018 the year of empowering your wellness with Sunlighten infrared light therapy – the whole family can benefit all year long. For more information, visit them at https://www.sunlighten.com or give them a call at 877-292-0020.
