Balance your hormones naturally and make “the Change” a smooth transition with simple natural alternatives.
If you wake up from another night of tossing and turning, with your heart pounding and your sheets soaking wet, and spend all day feeling anxious, tired, and irritable, you may be in the throes of hormone havoc.
It’s easy to recognize “the Change” when it starts with irregular monthly cycles and hot flashes, but when it’s mood swings, weight gain, fatigue, and sleep changes, you – and your doctor – may just think you’re under too much stress and that sleeping pills and antidepressants are the solution.
When your hormones are in harmony, your skin glows, your energy abounds, your sleep is satisfying, your moods are on an even keel, and your weight stays steady. This may sound like a pipe dream, but I assure you it’s possible!
I’ve helped countless women navigate perimenopause and menopause with the simple, natural hormone balancing found in my New York Times bestselling book, Before the Change, and in this blog, I’m sharing with you my most successful methods to make menopause less miserable.
Hormone Havoc Quiz
Here’s a simple quiz to help you determine if you’re experiencing the tell-tale signs of hormonal imbalance. To measure your hormone levels, consider an at-home Salivary Hormone Test which includes my personalized recommendations.
SCORE YOUR QUIZ
For each question, give yourself a score according to the intensity or frequency of your symptoms:
- Symptom is mild or occasional: 1
- Symptom is moderate or frequent: 2
- Symptom is severe: 3
If your total score is between 10 and 18: Don’t worry, you’re not going crazy. A hormone-regulating diet, supplements, regular moderate exercise, and better management of stress may be all you need to alleviate your symptoms.
If your total score is between 18 and 28: Diet, exercise, and stress management may or may not be enough to alleviate your symptoms. Additional nutrients and natural progesterone cream should make all the difference.
If your total score is above 28: You’re in full-blown “Hormone Havoc”. The remedies mentioned for the lower scores may be sufficient. If they’re not, consider taking natural hormones. But first take a saliva test to determine your hormone levels.

Hot Flash Quick Fix
If there was ever such a thing as a single natural remedy for the widest number of conditions, natural progesterone would lead the pack. It’s the first hormone to decline during the perimenopausal years (beginning in the late 30s) and from my experience, it is by far the most deficient hormone found in salivary hormone testing—whether the issue is PMS or postpartum depression—or perimenopause, menopause or beyond.
If you find yourself struggling to lose weight, depressed, moody, unable to sleep, anxious or suffering from hot flashes, these are a few common signs of progesterone deficiency. Learn how to optimize your Progesterone levels naturally here:
