Are you one of the millions of Americans suffering from weight gain, brain fog, fatigue, dry skin, thinning hair or other common symptoms of a sluggish thyroid?

Did you know your thyroid– that little butterfly-shaped gland at the base of your throat– affects virtually every aspect of your health? It’s true.

In fact, every cell in your body has receptors for your thyroid hormone! That means your thyroid directly affects your brain, heart, gallbladder, liver, digestive system, bone health, red blood cells, blood sugar balance, hormone balance, cholesterol levels, protein metabolism, and body temperature regulation. Phew! That’s a lot of work for one little organ.

As you can imagine, when a champion multi-tasker like your thyroid gland is not functioning optimally, you see it and feel it all over your body as low energy, poor immunity, and frustrating weight gain. These articles highlight common thyroid problems and offer solutions to help you get your thyroid health back on track:

Easy At-Home Test to HELP UNCOVER A SLOW METABOLISM

This week’s quick tip is an easy at-home test to help you determine whether thyroid issues are to blame for your slow metabolism. Up to 60% of women with a thyroid disorder are unaware of their condition — and even if you suspect a problem, it can be hard to convince your doctor.

To measure your thyroid function at home, take your underarm temperature first thing in the morning with a non-digital thermometer, keeping it in place for 10 minutes. Repeat for four consecutive days to get an average temperature. If it’s under 97.8 degrees F, and you have other symptoms like weight gain, fatigue and constipation, talk to your doctor — or find one who’ll listen!

Thyro-Key

Based on my experience working with thousands of weight loss clients over the years, I have seen firsthand how a sluggish thyroid is often part of the puzzle. Many women have diagnosed thyroid conditions, take medication, and yet still can’t seem to keep their thyroid function at optimal levels. Others are considered to have “normal” or “borderline” thyroid function by traditional metrics, but experience many symptoms of a sluggish thyroid and can benefit from extra support.

I developed Thyro-Key with all of these scenarios in mind. Thyro-Key contains a non-herbal combination of synergistic glandular extracts designed to support optimal thyroid function. It can be used alone or in addition to synthetic or natural thyroid replacement therapy. Consult your health care practitioner for any advice you may need on using along with thyroid medications.
