Heal the Root Cause of Dis-ease in 3 Easy Steps
Identifying this #1 underlying issue when you don’t have ANY of the typical symptoms is downright tricky.
How could you possibly connect the dots when you are NOT experiencing digestive distress problems like bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation?
The truth of the matter is, for the more than 30% of us with Leaky Gut Syndrome (or intestinal permeability), it is not in the GI tract where symptoms actually manifest.
Symptoms show up as allergies, autoimmune disease, joint pain, brain fog, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and skin conditions.
As Hippocrates once said over 2,500 years ago, “All disease begins in the gut.” Healing the gut has far reaching effects and can even heal the brain.
My 3 Gut Flush Steps:
1. Remove all inflammatory foods from the diet—starting with sugar.
Sugar is the most inflammatory of all foods and can even create damage on the arterial walls as well as immune problems.
With Americans consuming 152 pounds of sugar per person per year, the need for an anti-inflammatory diet (like Fat Flush) couldn’t be more urgent. Other sources of inflammation can be citrus fruits and nightshade vegetables like peppers, eggplant, white potatoes and tomatoes.
2. Eat colon-caring foods.
Fermented vegetables, yogurt, kefir, tempeh and sauerkraut are just some of the dietary sources of friendly bacteria (probiotics) that are a foundation for vital health. Sweet potatoes provide fermentable fibers that nourish the beneficial bacteria and are colon healers.
3. Power up with prebiotics and probiotics.
Thanks to sugar, chlorine, antibiotics, steroids, and other medications, we need pre and probiotics more than ever to replenish the gut terrain.
Keeping those probiotics well fed with non-starchy polysaccharides from larch, FOS, and insulin as well as soluble fiber from psyllium, chia, and flax is just as important as eating your fermented veggies.
As you may know by now, Flora-Key (a 10 billion CFU 5-strain powdered probiotic) is my favorite probiotic because it contains one of the most valuable probiotic strains—Lactobacillus plantarum. L. plantarum aids digestion, soothes an irritable bowel and even normalizes blood pressure and cholesterol.
When Less is More
Although there are many higher potency probiotics on the market—30 billion, 50 billion, and 100 billion colony-forming units (CFUs)—this is a case where it’s better for your immune system to start with a lower potency.
Start slow and work your way up by incrementally increasing the dosage.
For those with Leaky Gut Syndrome, the higher amounts of bacteria can detoxify too rapidly resulting in yeast, bacteria and viral die-off.
This can make you feel worse and symptoms can become more intensified as the high potencies do their massive clean-up work. Most of my leaky gut clients also get constipation on higher CFUs.
During this time of year when sweets and treats abound, I enjoy 2 to 3 teaspoons of Flora-Key (taken in measured and staggered doses) between and during meals.
This way I ensure that I am getting 10 billion CFUs throughout the day so my system can handle the cleansing process and not become overloaded with die-off side effects.
Even kids can enjoy this probiotic powder in apple sauce, yogurt, and smoothies. For years, I’ve given 1/4 to 1/8 teaspoon mixed in breast milk or formula to infants which helps with colic, allergies and skin rashes.
I always recommend Flora-Key as the best dietary insurance against holiday bloat, weight gain, and GI and systemic distress of all kinds.
Flora-Key makes the perfect stocking stuffer that is sure to multiply in health benefits and wellbeing for both adults and children alike!

I just put in an order for five Flora Key. Never heard of a probiotic powder before. This rocks! Thank you Ann Louise.
Another good reminder that a clean gut is the key to health! Thank you Ann Louise.
I use Flora-Key every day to keep from getting sinus infections. I’ve also given it to my granddaughter to help with her diaper rash. It worked when none of the creams made any difference at all.
