The full moon for this month has come and gone.
But many of my longtime followers knew it was coming weeks ago—and they knew exactly what to do.
That’s because one of the most important lessons I’ve learned after decades of studying parasites is that timing matters.
And when it comes to parasite activity, the days surrounding a full moon (particularly during reproductive cycles) deserve special attention.
Parasite Myths That Refuse to Die
MYTH: You have to travel overseas or to third-world countries to get parasites.
TRUTH: Not true at all. Many unwanted parasites are acquired right here at home through food, pets, insects, gardening, contaminated surfaces, and everyday environmental exposure.
MYTH: You have to drink contaminated water.
TRUTH: Another myth. While many of our lakes and streams do harbor parasites (which is why you shouldn’t drink water directly from those sources), these body invaders may also be contracted from undercooked food, unwashed produce, pets, soil, and close contact with infected individuals.
MYTH: Only people living in unsanitary conditions get parasites.
TRUTH: Some of the people most commonly affected are health-conscious individuals who would never suspect parasites as a possibility. Parasites don’t discriminate based on income, education, or lifestyle.
MYTH: If you had parasites, you’d know it.
TRUTH: Many parasitic infections can be surprisingly subtle. Symptoms may include bloating, gas, sugar cravings, fatigue, brain fog, skin problems, sleep disturbances, food sensitivities, and digestive complaints that are often blamed on other causes.
MYTH: Parasites are rare.
TRUTH: After decades of studying this topic, I believe parasites are far more common than most people realize—and far more overlooked than they should be. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) agrees, stating that “parasitic infections affect millions in the U.S. annually.
For example, over 60 million people are chronically infected with Toxoplasma gondii, which causes toxoplasmosis. Other common parasites here in the U.S. include Toxoplasma gondii, Giardia, pinworms (affecting approximately 40 million people, primarily school-age children), Trichomonas, Toxocara, and even the parasite responsible for Chagas disease. Certain infections affect millions of people, while others may go undiagnosed for years because their symptoms are often mistaken for something else.
The takeaway is simple: parasites are not rare. They are part of the modern health landscape, and they deserve far more attention than they currently receive. (Source: CDC, Aug 1, 2025).
That’s exactly why I wrote Guess What Came to Dinner? and why I continue educating people about what may be one of the most underappreciated factors in chronic health complaints today.
My Go-To Parasite Cleanse
After decades of working with clients, I know what works—and what doesn’t. That’s why I joined forces with UNI KEY Health years ago to develop the 30-Day Parasite Cleanse Kit. It’s simple, safe, and incredibly effective at helping the body clear out parasites and reset digestion from the inside out.
Here are the three heroes that make this cleanse work like magic:
- Para-Key, a blend of powerful herbs like wormwood and grapefruit seed extract to help stop parasites in their tracks.
- Verma-Plus, a traditional herbal liquid with black walnut, cloves, and orange peel that helps sweep out the bigger offenders.
- Flora-Key, a probiotic and prebiotic powder to rebuild your good gut bacteria—an essential step to keep parasites from coming back.
Simple Protocol for Chasing Out Unwanted Parasites
Many practitioners who work with parasites believe the days surrounding the full moon are an ideal time to begin a cleanse, as this is when parasites are thought to be at their most active.
That’s why many of my followers mark the lunar cycle right on their calendars.
My approach is simple.
Begin with Para-Key and Verma-Plus for two weeks to help discourage unwanted organisms and support the body’s natural cleansing processes. Then take a five-day break. After that, add Flora-Key to help restore beneficial bacteria and rebuild a healthier intestinal environment.
During this time, keep your diet clean and simple: lean protein, plenty of vegetables, healthy fats, lots of water, and as little sugar as possible (sugar is their favorite food).
Prioritize sleep, movement, and stress reduction. A resilient body is far less inviting to unwanted guests than one that’s exhausted and overwhelmed.
I’ve watched people follow this simple protocol for years, and many tell me the same thing afterward: clearer thinking, calmer digestion, fewer cravings, better energy, and a renewed sense of well-being.
That’s why, after all these years, parasite cleansing remains one of the foundational tools in my wellness toolbox.

For the first two weeks, use the herbal formulas (Para-Key and Verma-Plus) to clear things out, then take five days off. After that short rest, add Flora-Key to rebuild and strengthen your gut.
In the meantime, eat simply—lean protein, lots of vegetables, and NO sugar. Drink water, rest, and move a little every day. Parasites thrive when the body’s weak, so focus on building yourself back up.
Once those unwanted guests are gone, you’ll feel the difference—clearer head, calmer stomach, and a lighter, steadier kind of energy. That’s why I still rely on this simple formula after all these years—it works where so many others don’t.
