Finally On the Way to a 100 Pound Weight Loss

How Tami tamed stubborn weight loss resistance.

I recently went to see an extraordinary bodywork specialist—Tami Carroll. On her massage table, we talked about what I did and Tami felt comfortable enough to share her challenges which she’d been dealing with for years—to lose weight and keep it off!

As soon as she mentioned the critical fact that she’d had her gallbladder removed, I knew exactly what the problem was.

Today, she is finally on target to lose 100 pounds by October and help to reverse her weight-related high blood pressure and hypothyroidism.

Here is Tami’s story:

Hi… My name is Tami Carroll and I have been struggling with weight issues most of my adult life. I thought I had conquered them after high school by working out nearly every day and becoming a vegetarian. At the time I had become a bodyworker doing massage therapy treatments and working with the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. After a series of struggles to conceive—including losing two along the way—I had two daughters.

My oldest daughter was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune kidney disease. After the diagnosis, I moved to Texas where, at the time, there seemed to be very little knowledge of holistic or organic wellness. It was during this time that I began the journey of weight issues all over again. Complicated by stress and poor food sources, I decided to do the Atkins Diet—it threw me into the worst gallbladder pain ever.

After a lengthy hospitalization, the doctors decided it was best to remove my gallbladder.

Not long afterward, I ended up having a hysterectomy, and well, let’s say that I have struggled with feeling bad and watching the pounds continue to pile on no matter how much I’ve dieted, exercised, etc. since then.

A few weeks ago I was blessed with meeting and providing physical therapy to Ann Louise. This life-changing meeting began my journey to finally having control of my metabolic system.
