Why Isn’t My Clean-Eating Diet Working?

I’ve been doing a clean-eating diet for three weeks now, but the weight isn’t budging. Why not?

I suspect that you’re among the 50 percent of women who suffer from a sluggish liver after the holidays. This time of year brings increased exposure to indoor-air toxins and more frequent use of over-the-counter cold and flu medications. The process of breaking down and eliminating chemicals, in addition to holiday indulgences, can leave the liver too overworked to optimally burn stored fat. The remedy: Sip two to four daily cups of roasted dandelion root tea. Dandelion root tea stimulates the flow of bile, which breaks down fasts and carries away waste. This in turn helps eliminate fatty deposits and toxic buildup in liver cells. The result: Fat is burned up to 25 percent faster, so excess pounds will start falling off.
