Girl Holding a ScrubHarness the power of your lymph—the body’s natural fat flusher.

So, you’re on Fat Flush or Fast Track. You’ve gained a huge amount of energy. You now have healthy, glowing skin, your eyes have a sparkle, and you’re even standing up straighter. There’s only one thing about your appearance that still may concern you—nagging cellulite.

Although no one is really sure about what causes cellulite, there are lots of theories: heredity, water retention, excess estrogen, and poor circulation. Some experts simply dismiss it as another type of body fat. I prefer to focus on another fact—a lazy lymphatic and circulatory system that encourages your body to hold onto toxins.

Here is what we do know.

One, the body tends to store toxins in fat, and women’s long-term fat-storage reserves are in the thighs. Even worse, the lower body has the ability to stockpile six times more fat than the cells in the upper body. Two, the connective tissue in the female leg forms a fibrous, honeycomb-like pattern in which fat tends to lodge—so fat accumulates more readily in our legs than in our arms. Three, the legs have a more concentrated network of lymphatic vessels than any other area of the body.

Put these three factors together and you have a recipe for frustration.

There’s good news on the horizon.
Remember, it took years to accumulate your cellulite, so you may need a bit of patience as you work to overcome it. Here are some useful tools to help give you a fighting chance to achieve clean, smooth skin.

Dry-brush massage stimulates your lymphatic flow and blood circulation. To get started, find a good brush at your local bath and beauty store. Look for a medium-firm brush with natural bristles—nylon or other synthetic bristles tend to be sharp and might damage your skin. Choose a brush as large as the palm of your hand, with a long handle.

Keep your brush clean by washing it frequently in warm, soapy water. Make sure it air dries completely before using it again. Once a week, soak your brush for thirty minutes in a solution of one quart water and a few drops of Clorox bleach or tea tree oil (a natural disinfectant).

You can dry-brush up to 5 times a week. Your skin will thank you for it, and so will your lymphatic system.

• Open the primary lymphatic ducts by gently finger-massaging just below your collar bone and on the left and right groin areas. This only takes a few seconds.
• Begin the brush massage with the sole of your feet. Brush vigorously in a circular motion. How firmly you press depends on how toned and healthy your skin is. As your skin becomes healthier, you will be able to apply more pressure, create better circulation, and bring increased energy into the skin. Using short, upward strokes, gradually move over your feet and legs. Continue brushing upward over your stomach to your breasts and over your buttocks to your waist.

Fat Flush Anti-Cellulite Supplements
Look for formulas that contain a number of lipotropic (fat burning) nutrients to help prevent excess fat buildup and thin or emulsified fat for easy transport through the blood and lympth. Inositol, choline, and methionine are intimately involved in the way in which the liver processes fats—giving rise to their nickname as primary fat burners. These nutrients can help overcome a reluctant metabolism and stimulate the body to burn off excess fat. Other fat metabolizing helpers include:

• Lipase, a fat digestiving enzyme
•L-carnitine, which carries fat to the mitochondria—the “fat furnances” in your cells that convert fat to energy
• Turmeric, dandelion root, milk thistle, and Oregon grape root, helpful herbs that enhance liver support and function

As part of the Fat Flush Kit, I personally designed Weight Loss Formula, which contains 112 mg of inositol, 112 mg of choline, and 112 mg of methioine. Also containing other fat metabolizers, it’s a stimulant-free product that has helped support healthy fat metabolism among my clients and readers for nearly two decades! Interestingly, it has also done wonders for my type 2 diebetics.

No matter your body build, fitness level, or age, cellulite can cause distress—but you can fight back and win!

Faithfully, I have followed Ann since 1989 !!! BUT, I cannot make sense of her recommendation for acetyl L-carnitine for hypothyroidism.

Could you have her double-check this? Acetyl L-carnitine lowers thyroid activity!

    Thank you so much,

Have The Fat Flush Plan Book and so does most of my clients with great results. Tried the Fat Flush Weight Loss Kit and was unable to use it because of a severe reaction to some of the ingredents. Where can I get help now. Also have hypothyroidism, putting on weight at a very fast rate. Help!

Candis -Dr. Ann Louise is talking about L-Carnitine Tartrate, not acetyl l-carnitine.

Constance – Please call UNI KEY 800 888-4353 and talk customer service about your reactions to Weight Loss Formula. They will be very helpful.
Also with the hypothyroidism I suggest that you take a Tissue Mineral Analysis test to find out which minerals and vitamins and specific foods may help you with your thyroid.

I don’t need to lose any weight, but I DO need to lose the cellulite, especially in my upper arms and waist. Any ideas? I’ve recently begun weight training with light weights. Will that help?
    Thanks for your help.

I’m a breast cancer survivor and bought the whole Fat Flush Plan several years ago, followed it and lost 16 pounds. It’s comprehensive in terms of strengthening the immune system and losing weight in a healthy way. (Must have loaned it to someone, because it disappeared). Recently I bought the Detox book and supplements. I lost 3 pounds…maybe slower due to menopause??? Anyway, the recipes were much tastier and I still like the plan. I read somewhere that after purchasing this program, I could recieve a second batch at a significant discount. How do I access this discount?

I have developed SEVERAL weird lumps in only one arm. They are in my upper arm, down to my elbow. They are painful, some are flat and smooth, a couple feel like a pea or corn! I have gone to 3 doctors, they say it is a result of some trauma (perhaps a rotator cuff injury)… HOWEVER, I’m nervous! I can’t take the pain any more. Could they really be just a lipoma? I feel something is wrong.

What is the difference between the Fat-Flush Plan and the Smoothie Shake Down?

Thanks, Liz! Does Ann have a formula with L-carnitine tartrate?

Terry- the Smoothie Shakedown is basically a turbo-charged version of Fat Flush. It’s great for people on the go! The Fat Flush Plan requires a bit of food preparation, whereas the Smoothie Shakedown is just two yummy smoothies, and one regular meal every day.
Candis- Dr. Ann Louise has the Weight Loss Formula, available through UNI KEY Health Systems (800.888.4353) that contains L-Carnitine Tartrate 🙂

in a nutshell, what is the “plan”. will it help w/ cellulite even if I am already eating completely clean (only nuts, seeds, organic meats, egg whites, etc) I am taking in no refined sugars and NO processed carbs and very little carbs because I blow up like a balloon. Am allergic to soy, and casein and sensitive to gluten. Please help me get started… if this will help! I am not overweight at all and work out regularly. Can’t wait to hear back!

The reason you have clelulite is because there are toxins in your body, the best way to get rid of them would be drinking plenty of water (I’m sure you do this already with all the excercise you do) or do a home detox diet, where you eat lots of leafy greens as organic as possible. The best way I found that works though, is to use a bristle brush and do slow circular motions up and down the areas with clelulite. It helps circulate your blood flow Hope your clelulite goes away

I have hypoglycemia and find that I cannot make it between shakes with out needing to eat something. What would you recommend? I was wondering if I could add a third shake and then a meal. That way I’d be eating 4 meals instead of 3.

Julie- I recommend you look over the Fat Flush Plan book, as the program is too extensive to just sum up! It will be very easily adaptable from your current diet, and is wonderful for anyone with food sensitivities!
Helen- You should definitely have some nutrition between your shakes! Eat any of the approved vegetables (raw or cooked), one or two hard boiled eggs, or a third smoothie is allowed as well 🙂

Which program should you do first? I am interested in the Detox Fat Flush, to detox and help the liver cleanse, but also seeking a fast weight loss. I like the sound of the Detox Fat Flush program but the convenience of the Smoothie plan. Does the Smoothie Plan have the same effect of detoxing or is it completely different?

Johnna, The Smoothie Shakedown is a great detox and weight loss program in one. The convenience of the shakes is a major bonus! Try it for two weeks and see what kind of results you get!
